In support of The Salvation Army's Red Kettle Campaign, the Grammy-winning, multi-platinum rock band Blues Traveler released their take on the Christmas favorite "Go Tell It on the Mountain," with 100% of net proceeds from every download of the song benefiting The Salvation Army.
"After learning all the ways the Salvation Army helps people in need, we wanted to help too," commented Grammy-winning lead vocalist John Popper. "Their impact on feeding and sheltering people who need it most is undeniable, and we are grateful."
Blues Traveler's rendition of "Go Tell It on the Mountain" is now available for purchase through bluestraveler.com or via the iTunes store and on Amazon.
In addition to purchasing "Go Tell It on the Mountain," supporters can contribute to the Red Kettle campaign at one of the more than 25,000 red kettles set up at storefronts nationwide; or they can share their #RedKettleReason and give back online at RedKettleReason.org; or through the Army's text-to-give program by texting the word "KETTLES" to 51555, they can give an amount of their choice to the Red Kettle Campaign. Sean Hannity Jumping into Film Production with Faith-Friendly Movie Starring Kevin Sorbo
Sean Hannity has delved into filmmaking by partnering with Kevin Sorbo on a movie in which the star will play a world-renowned atheist whose beliefs are dramatically challenged.
For Sorbo, this is the second time he is playing a character in a story with atheism as the central plot point, after having starred in "God's Not Dead," the surprise hit that made $61 million domestically on a $2 million production budget and spurred a sequel, "God's Not Dead 2," which made $21 million.
The movie, "Let There Be Light," also stars Sorbo's wife, Sam, and was made on a $3 million production budget. Sorbo is still working on a distribution deal but he expects the film to open in November 2017.
Sorbo has been making Christian-themed movies for several years now, a choice that others say can limit an actor's opportunities in Hollywood.
As for Hannity, he is making his first foray into filmmaking as executive producer, but it won't be his last, as he is pursuing other projects.

Journey's Jonathan Cain Set To Release Christian CD
Jonathan Cain, longtime keyboardist and rhythm guitarist in Journey, co-writer of the No. 1 digital catalog song in history, "Don't Stop Believin'," as well as writer of "Faithfully" and co-writer of "Who's Crying Now," "Open Arms" and many more international hit songs, will release his solo album, What God Wants to Hear, October 21.
Cain, who continues to tour the world with Journey, one of the most popular American rock bands of all time, crafted his new solo album from his personal faith-journey that started in Chicago when, at a young age, he wanted to be a priest. His faith was challenged after he survived a horrific fire in third grade at his school, Our Lady of the Angels School, where 92 of his fellow students along with three nuns died that day. Cain found healing and redemption in music, and his long 'journey' eventually led him back to the seminal faith of his youth.
Weathering professional and personal storms, Cain declares, "Only God can take a mess and turn it into a message, a test into a testimony, a trial into a triumph, a victim into victory."
The first single from his new album available for download with preorder at iTunes beginning Sept. 23 is "Deeper than Deep." The video for the song, which will be released soon, features photographs Cain has taken throughout the years.
Cain is also exclusively offering, for a limited time, a free song download of the bonus track, "Remove Every Veil," along with an introduction to the song from Pastor Paula White, to anyone who signs up for the free gift at http://jonathancainmusic.com/.
Cain's return to his faith coincided with discovering love and healing through White, senior Pastor of New Destiny Christian Center in Orlando, who he married in April, 2015. Leading worship at his wife's annual women's conference, Cain found a new joy in his music. "I never heard him sing like this," White says. "Something had shifted in him.
After encouragement to record music reflecting this newfound joy, Cain asked, "What does God want to hear from me?" Soon afterwards, the songs began to pour out. "I've always been seeking out songs since I was young," he shares. "I never had any idea how rich the Bible was with imagery. I got lost in it."
Reminiscent of when he almost gave up on his musical dreams and his father uttered the now famous line "Don't stop believing," Cain now feels he's just starting to believe again.

Casting Crowns Joins the Elite with 10 Million Career Album Sales
Casting Crowns has joined a very small but elite group of Christian artists as they surpass 10 million albums sold to date since their label debut in 2003. With these sales numbers, Casting Crowns has held the position as Billboard's top-selling act in Christian music since 2007.

PledgeMusic Acquires NoiseTrade
PledgeMusic has announced that it has officially acquired NoiseTrade. As part of the deal, the company will retain Derek Webb as their PledgeMusic Nashville GM.
PledgeMusic is a platform that enables crowdfunding of musicians. NoiseTrade, which Derek Webb co-founded in 2008, is a platform where artists can give their music away to fans in exchange for information and an optional tip. With both companies revolutionizing the way artists and fans interact, the pairing makes sense.
"The integration of NoiseTrade into PledgeMusic is igniting a real powder keg in Nashville. I'm thrilled to be the boots on the ground as the new GM," Webb told Music Week. "We feel there are several real growth opportunities for us here, and as a 15+ year resident, I don't think there's ever been a better moment than now to invest into the community of musicians and their teams here in Music City."

Kirk Franklin Protege Prayed for His Collaboration on Kanye West's The Life Of Pablo
Before the world learned that Kirk Franklin and Kanye West would collaborate on Kanye's record, Kirk's protégé, Christon Gray, was praying for the situation.
Franklin surprised people by appearing on Kanye West's album The Life Of Pablo, where he is heard praying on the song "Ultra Light Beams," earlier this year. However, before the gospel musician Kirk Franklin entered the studio with West, he called on his mentee to pray for the project.
"He just hit me up and just asked for prayer that if it was an environment that did not really fit what he's trying to do, that he would have the strength to say no," Gray told Hip Hop DX. "'Cause it is Kanye and they had legends in the room. I wanted to be in the room. Andre 3000 was in there and I was like, 'bruh, can we meet?'"
Franklin and West were first pictured in a studio when an image on Instagram surfaced on Jan. 29. Since then, West has spoken highly of Franklin in interviews and featured the gospel producer, songwriter and artist on his latest album.
In an interview with Hip Hollywood, Franklin revealed how he got involved in the project.
"He asked me to be a part of this one song and it's very clear what I represent. No profanity, or something that is outside of my faith or what I preach," Franklin said. "I'm just here to walk out life with people, and whoever. I'm not a pastor to the stars, I ain't trying to be all that, My job is to just win people to God."
Franklin appeared on "Saturday Night Live" to perform the song with West, singers Kelly Price
and the Dream. For the gospel artist, West is not beyond God's grace.
"As a Christian I'm trying to be what God wants me to be to whoever, and nobody is beyond receiving Him," he said. "Nobody's unforgivable, or unredeemable."

Jordin Sparks Leads Worship Service
Jordin Sparks found fame on the "American Idol" stage, but she recently returned to where she developed her musical talents: the church.
The 26-year-old artist led prayer and worship at the Angelus Temple in Los Angeles on Sunday.
"We're so excited about what God is going to do today through our morning of prayer and worship," the church's Twitter account read, along with an image of Sparks.
The visit was not a surprise, as Sparks also shared her plans with fans on Twitter so they could join her at the church or watch the service online.
During an interview back in 2009, the singer spoke about the impact of her faith and the church have had on her career as an entertainer.
"My faith has been a humongous part of how I have looked at my career. I started out singing in church very young and it took off from there," Sparks said in an interview with Cross Rhythms in 2009. "The music business is a very secular world and there are always people quick to point to you as a hypocrite when you mess up with something and fall. I know that God has blessed me to be where I am and everything he has placed before me is just so amazing."

Royal Tailor's Tauren Wells Goes Solo
Tauren Wells is best known as the energetic frontman of pop group Royal Tailor, but now, he wants to also be known as a Father, husband, preacher, teacher, and yes--musician.
In September, we learned that Wells had gone solo. On Friday, he released his first new music since 2013: "Undefeated" featuring rapper KB. The massively popular Dude Perfect--which has used Royal Tailor music before--got wind of the new music and insisted upon using it for their upcoming "World Records" video which released Friday.
"We knew that 'Undefeated,' even before we finished writing it, was definitely a song Dude Perfect could use," Wells said in an exclusive interview with NewReleaseToday. "I'm super pumped. It slams. I really feel like it's a strong first move for people to listen and experience [my new music]."
"Undefeated" hit iTunes on Friday, concurrent with the release of Dude Perfect's video featuring the song. Listen to the song here:
Recently re-signed to Provident Label Group as a solo act, Wells is gearing up for a radio single release in August, a six-song EP early this fall and a full-length project in early 2017.
Royal Tailor rose to critical acclaim, garnering two GRAMMY nominations, as well as spots on large national tours, including Winter Jam and the Rock & Worship Roadshow.
"The band was successful, by our measures of success," Wells told NRT. "It was doing well, still growing. I felt like we had just put out our best album. Things were great, relationally, and obviously we're best friends. But to be honest, we were so tired."
Playing around 150 shows per year, Wells--a new father--found the demands of being a full-time touring artist at odds with a growing number of competing callings.
"My primary calling is to be a father in my home, a husband to my wife, to be present. My dad was always present, and I know that's a gift. Another thing I'm called to is my local church. I was so caught up and involved in serving others all over the world that I was missing the opportunity to serve right in my own city. I just got more and more uncomfortable with demands on the road."
Feeling burned out and confused, Wells said he had told one of his mentors that he was ready to stop doing music altogether, but was encouraged to pray and explore what the ideal artist situation could be for his priorities.
"I started thinking and talking with people close to me about reimagining how I could serve people with music and how I balance everything," he said. And that process of thinking and praying led him to a difficult conclusion of ending the Royal Tailor chapter in his life.
"When it came time to make that call, it was really hard, and I think it took the guys by surprise," Wells said. "Obviously that can never go well, but what I can say is that we all certainly want what's best for each other."
Royal Tailor played its last show together in Anchorage, Alaska, on August 6, 2015, and Wells said the only people who knew it was their last show were the four guys on the stage.
"It was so hard--literally, the hardest decision that I've ever had to make," he said. "I really want to emphasize how amazing the Royal Tailor journey was for me. You know, we had known each other since college, so it was a big deal that we were able to do this together, do the things we were able to experience together."
Wells said that while he has heard no plans to keep Royal Tailor going, the three other members of the band have found other creative outlets.
"Where Royal Tailor was at, it was also a good time to use it as a catalyst to step into something new," he said. "And now those guys are playing with country artists and writing songs and Blake [Hubbard] and Jarrod [Ingram] have become this production duo with cuts on NF's new album. They're doing very well making their own paths, and I celebrate that."

BeBe Winans Stages Musical About His Life Story - And Humanizes His Mentors Jim and Tammy Faye Bakker
When a new musical based on the life of BeBe Winans makes its world premiere at the Alliance Theatre in Atlanta this month, theatergoers will be transported back to the Reagan-era rise and scandal-riddled fall of televangelists Jim and Tammy Faye Bakker. Born for This: The BeBe Winans Story, cowritten and composed by the Grammy-winning R&B and gospel star himself, tells the unlikely story of how Winans and his sister CeCe were plucked by the Bakkers from teenage obscurity in Detroit to perform on the Praise the Lord Network.
The musical, which Winans and his cowriter and director Charles Randolph-Wright spent years fine-tuning, has already earned approval from Oprah, who led the audience in a standing ovation when she attended an early reading. Now Winans and Randolph-Wright are hoping that it will join the handful of productions, including the Tony-winning The Color Purple and Aida, that have made the jump from the Alliance’s stage to Broadway.

U2's Bono Posts Poignant Tribute to Prince on Instagram (Hint: It's One of Prince's Most Christian songs)
U2 and frontman Bono marked the surprise death of music superstar Prince by posting the lyrics to one of his most famous Christian songs on Instagram. Just hours after his death, Bono posted an image of the lyrics to 'The Cross', a song from Prince's album Sign o' the Times.
Along with the lyrics, the singer simply posted:
"I never met Mozart, I never met Duke Ellington or Charlie Parker
I never met Elvis But I met Prince – Bono"
The song's lyrics talk about how "the Cross" is a symbol of hope which counters all of the darkness in this world. He reassures those without hope that "he [Jesus] is coming", promises there will one day be "bread 4 all", and urges listeners to "bear the cross" too, an allusion to Jesus' words in Luke 9:23: "Then he said to them all: 'Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me.'"
Poignantly, 'The Cross' has Prince repeatedly uttering the urgent words "don't die without knowing the cross". While his religious journey was varied and complicated, given the content of this song and many others like it, it seems very likely that he followed his own advice.

Dogs of Peace Return After 20 Years
It's been 20 years since Gordon Kennedy, Jeff Balding, Blair Masters, John Hammond and Jimmie Sloas joined forces as Dogs of Peace to record Speak, a groundbreaking album that was musically inventive, lyrically insightful and both playful and poignant all at the same time.
Now the Dogs are back with Heel, a potent collection of tunes that percolate with the same passion that gave voice to Speak. "The message is just a proclamation of what we believe to be the truth and we try to tell it the best way we can. We're just trying to write the best songs and record them to the best of our ability, and hopefully that's what we've done again."
Each song is brought to life by five well-accomplished musicians.
Kennedy is a legendary guitarist and two-time Grammy winner who co-wrote Eric Clapton's Grammy winning Song of the Year "Change the World." Currently on tour with Peter Frampton, Kennedy has written songs for Don Henley, Garth Brooks, Ricky Skaggs, Bruce Hornsby, Tim McGraw and Carrie Underwood among others as a player, has worked with Little Big Town, Kenny Loggins, Reba McEntire, Amy Grant, PFR, Michael McDonald and Kenny Loggins and many more.
Sloas is a world-renowned bass player/songwriter and producer whose credits include Taylor Swift, Keith Urban, Megadeth, PFR, Thomas Rhett and others. He has performed with different artists on "Good Morning America," "The Tonight Show," "Saturday Night Live," "Conan" and the CMA Awards Show.
Blair Masters is a keyboardist/composer/producer who has recorded with Frankie Valli, Amy Grant, Casting Crowns, Steven Curtis Chapman, Megadeth and Jeremy Camp. As a producer, he has worked with Jim Brickman, Twila Paris and Point of Grace. He has toured with Frampton, McDonald, MercyMe, Giant and Steve Wariner, and he has composed music for television shows on A&E, the Discovery Channel, ABC, NBC and CBS.
John Hammond has recorded or performed drums with Vince Gill, Jewel, Faith Hill, Olivia Newton-John, Barry Manilow, Whitney Houston, Peter Cetera, Kristin Chenoweth, Bill Gaither, Christopher Cross, Cliff Richard and many others. He has performed on "The Today Show," "Pepsi Smash," "The Tonight Show," The Dove Awards and for the President as part of an In Command Performance at the White House.
Balding's credits include Taylor Swift, Don Henley, Shakira, Little Big Town, Megadeth, Keith Urban and Jewel. Balding has held elected positions with The Recording Academy and serves on Belmont University's Curb College of Entertainment and Music Business and the Pearl-Cohn Entertainment Magnet High School Academy Advisory Board.
In recording Heel, the Dogs enlisted special friends to lend their talents. Michael Omartian plays piano on "Friend of the Groom." Skaggs lends his mandolin to "Only the Gold" and Frampton puts his signature guitar licks on "Healed." PFR's Joel Hanson, Whiteheart alum Rick Florian and the McCrary Sisters provide guests vocals on "He's the Light of the World." As much as they enjoyed having friends add to their musical offerings, for the Dogs of Peace, the biggest reward was just in being back together and getting a chance to howl once again. "This was a passion project for us all," says Masters. "We didn't go, 'Let's make a record that has a hit song!' It was really, 'Let's make some music that we love making.' That's what inspired everybody and there's a quote from Gordon that we all embrace: 'If nothing else happens with this other than it being an offering, then that alone is enough reason to do it.' That's the heart behind the record. If it's an offering we put at His feet, then that's enough and is the reason for this record."

‘The Passion’ Ratings Down 42% From ‘Grease Live’
Fox aired the semi-live The Passion musical on Palm Sunday featuring a 20-foot glowing cross being carried through the streets of New Orleans. Facing a full schedule from its network rivals plus The Walking Dead on cable, The Passion experienced a 42% decline from January 31’s Grease Live and set a low for network live musicals.
Fox’s second live musical event of the year so far, the drama of the last hours of Jesus had pre-taped segments, Tyler Perry as narrator, Trisha Yearwood as Mary, Seal as Pontius Pilate singing “We Don’t Need Another Hero” from Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome and Tears For Fears’ “Mad World”, Chris Daughtry as Judas, and Telenovela’s Jencarlos Canela as Jesus.
The program was also 46% lower than NBC's December 3, 2015 broadcast of The Wiz Live! However, that show as up 34% from Peter Pan Live which aired December 4, 2014. Both were down from the Carrie Underwood-led Sound of Music Live! which aired December 5, 2013.
Despite the infusion of contemporary music and Perry’s following among young viewers, the special was older-skewing compared to the other live musicals.
Fox finished Sunday tied with NBC and CBS for No.1 in adults 18-49.

The Young Messiah Opens in Top 10; Risen Remains in Top 10
"The Young Messiah" opened in seventh place at the box office with an estimated $3.4 million from 1,761 theaters. The opening was likely disappointing to the studio, but the timing of this one certainly didn't seem to help it.
"Risen" did well a few weeks ago and the studio is on the verge of having another hit on their hands next week with "Miracles from Heaven," but "Young Messiah" wasn't able to attract a large portion of the faith audience. For those that did make it to the theaters this weekend to see it, they liked what they saw as it scored an "A-" CinemaScore. The film played to an audience that was 56% female vs. 44% male and 86% of overall attendees were 25 years or older.

Director of 'The Young Messiah' Shares How Film Survived Bankruptcy During Production
"The Young Messiah" will hit theaters March 11th but the upcoming biblical drama almost did not make it to the big screen after losing millions before it was even released.
Based on the novel Christ the Lord: Out of Egypt by Anne Rice, "The Young Messiah" sets out to illustrate the life of a young Jesus Christ. Directed by Cyrus Nowrasteh, "The Young Messiah" chronicles one year in Jesus' life when he was seven.
Christian Post interviewed Nowrasteh about the film:
Christian Post: What would you says is a unique story having to do with faith or Christianity surrounding the making of the film?
Nowrasteh: An earlier incarnation of the film was shut down while we were in pre-production in Italy, [because of] a devastating occurrence on any film which usually means you're done. $3 million dollars went down the drain. The assumption was that we would never get the film made. It took one-year-and-eight months to get the film back up, it would not die. And, in the end, the film was much better for it. That sacrifice made for a more powerful, more orthodox, film.
Christian Post: How did the film impact you?
Nowrasteh: Making this film, getting the opportunity to tell this unique story, was a privilege and honor. The entire experience has humbled me and brought me closer to God.

Fuller House: Nostalgia, Comedy and Sex... Oh My!
First off, yes, Netflix's "Fuller House" has its corny moments and certainly scratches a nostalgia itch that fans of the original series will savor. It's a mostly family-friendly series that is often funny with some laugh out loud moments.
This reboot is a product of our nostalgia culture, Throwback Thursdays and “Things Only a ’80s Kid Would Know” listicles, come to life.
It’s not entirely clear who the audience is meant to be for the new “Fuller House.” Grown-up fans watching with their kids? Today's kids and teens? Nostalgic parents who have put their kids to bed?
It wants to be a warm and fuzzy throwback comedy, complete with laughs and awws from a studio audience — a first for Netflix. But it also wants to trade on the winking meta-humor that’s currently so popular.
Gears shift a lot on "Fuller House." There are ongoing allusions to the off-screen lives of the stars and applause-rewarded fourth-wall breaking. Such moments contrast with the heartstring-pulling and lesson-learning more standard to traditional sitcoms.
Fans will have to adjust to the biggest contrast to "Full House:" its cringe-making innuendo, suggestive dancing, lots of drinking, revealing clothes and female kisses.
It's probably because of its insistence on being perceived family-friendly that "Fuller House" gets panned by critics including some Christian ones. However, star Candace Cameron Bure's fans might be surprised by how her character is portrayed.
Bure has responded to the critics:

"The critics never had a good thing to say about Full House and yet it ran for eight years in primetime and then it’s never been off the air in 30 years. So it’s a testament to what the fans want and not what the critics think. If there are any negative review that’s how we feel about it with Fuller House; we did this for the fans and we think they’re going to absolutely love it.""The fans are excited about the show," Jodie Sweetin added."We’re not going out there and trying to win an Emmy for Best Drama. We’re a family sitcom that fans absolutely love and adore, and we’re incredibly honored to get to bring that back and I think we’ve stayed really true to that drama."
Risen in Top 5 at the Box Office for Second Consecutive Week
Risen remained in the top 5 for a second weekend despite dropping 40.7%, bringing in an estimated $7 million for a total of $22.7 million in two weeks.

Is 'Bachelor' Star Ben Higgins' Christian Faith Being Downplayed on Hit Reality Series?
Even though this season's star of ABC's popular reality series has conveyed his Christian beliefs in his private life, on social media and even in a blog for People magazine, one fan contends the show is concealing his faith.
"Athough you would never know it if you consume 'The Bachelor' only through the show itself, he [Higgins] seems to be an evangelical Christian," writes one Slate blog contributor. "On the show itself, spirituality gets only the most fleeting, veiled references and dog whistles."
If the portrayal of Higgins' Christian faith is in fact minimized on "The Bachelor," perhaps it is because there is no need to emphasize what has already been made obvious by the star.
Higgins previously talked to People about how his personal boundaries on the show are influenced by his faith, and about the infamous Fantasy Suite where couples go to get one-on-one time.

Jennifer Garner Shares Life-Changing Impact Movie Role Has Had on Her Life
While on the road promoting her upcoming film "Miracles From Heaven," actress Jennifer Garner ("Alias", "13 Going on 30"") visited T.D. Jakes' church to attend Sunday service and spoke of the life-changing impact her movie role has played in her personal life.
"Ahhh I can't even watch the clip, I can't even see it, it makes me cry," Garner said as she joined Jakes and Christy Beam, who she portrays in the film, on stage.
"I fell so in love with this family, I fell so in love with their love for each other. I fell so in love with their faith," she said. "It was a transformative experience to play this woman right here, she made me stronger," the actress confessed about Christy as she choked up.
While Garner has never really talked about her faith in the past, in a video captured by DeWayneHamby.com during a Q&A conducted during that same trip to Dallas, she revealed that her faith life has changed. Garner shared that in Los Angeles, where she lives, people don't talk about faith and it's a topic that has become very political. She said that people of faith are usually considered outsiders.
"I will say that being around this community, and while I've always gone to church in West Virginia, that when I got back to Los Angeles, I was talking to my kids about the movie and they said, 'Mom you don't take us to church,' and we went that Sunday, and they went today without me. That decision was a direct gift from this movie and for that I'm very grateful," Garner said.

Ex- Flyleaf Singer Lacey Sturm Becomes First Solo Woman to Top Hard Rock Albums Chart
For the first time in its nearly nine-year history, Billboard's Hard Rock Albums chart welcomes a No. 1 by a solo female. Lacey Sturm, best known as the former lead singer of rock band Flyleaf, debuts at No. 1 on Hard Rock Albums with Life Screams, her first solo set.
Sturm becomes the first solo female to top the chart, which began with the June 28, 2007 ranking. Life Screams is also the seventh chart-topper from a female-led act, the first being (guess who?) Flyleaf's Memento Mori, in 2009.
Sturm is also the 10th solo artist (joining nine males) to top the chart and the first since Slash led with World on Fire in October 2014.
On other Billboard charts, Life Screams opens at Nos. 7 and 8 on Alternative Albums and Top Rock Albums, respectively. It starts at No. 74 on the Billboard 200.
Life Screams is the first record Sturm has released since her departure from Flyleaf in 2012; the act has since continued with a new lead singer, Kristen May (formerly of the band Vedera).
"Impossible," Sturm's lead solo single, is currently rising at rock radio, ranking at No. 29 on the Mainstream Rock Songs chart.

Flyleaf's Lacey Sturm Releases 'Life Screams' Today And Tops Charts
Platinum-selling, Grammy-nominated frontwoman of Flyleaf (through 2012), Lacey Sturm, returns to music as a solo artist with Life Screams. The album is being lauded by critics as the lead single, "Impossible," enters the Active Rock chart top 30 and continues to climb. The new album currently sits atop the iTunes Rock charts.
Lacey joined Kayla Riley in SiriusXM's studio for an interview and acoustic performance of "Impossible" and more new songs from Life Screams. The resulting SiriusXM "Octane Unleaded" show airs today at 3:00 pm EST with encore airings this week.
Lacey also electrified "Impossible," as well as the Life Screams track "Rot," for a "Rising on Yahoo! Music" video feature that hit online yesterday and can be seen along with an exclusive interview here.
"There is a striking intensity in the singing voice of Lacey Sturm that is both captivating and instantly memorable," says Yahoo! Music executive editor, David Di Martino.
"A superb set that sonically carries on from her work with Flyleaf, Sturm's new album offers up a compelling array of emotional, hard-rocking tracks with just the right amount of edge--the lyrics, the vocals, the unique, tactical screaming bursts--that truly is a whole new thing, but familiar enough to please even the most ardent Flyleaf loyalists," continues Di Martino. "Significantly, that husband/guitarist Josh Sturm is an integral part of the mix now makes Life Screams very much a family affair. To its benefit."

Newsboys Lead Singer Michael Tait Endorses Ted Cruz
Michael Tait, the frontman for the enormously popular Newsboys, has officially endorsed Texas Sen. Ted Cruz for president, citing the GOP hopeful’s principles, saying that, as an African-American, he supports him “100 percent.”
Tait, who is an alumnus of Liberty University, told Fox News columnist Todd Starnes that when he saw the senator launch his campaign from the university in March of last year, that he saw Cruz’s “drive” and “hunger” for “solid principles.”
“I saw him, his family, the way he talked to people in person. I saw his drive, his hunger for solid principles, solid ideas going forward in our country that, even as an African-American, if you want to get really technical about it, I support 100 percent,” Tait told Starnes.
Tait went on to share some advice for fellow Christians who will be entering the voting booth.
“People of faith should vote for a man they believe in,” Tait said. “A man they feel can do the job, not falter, not say one thing before the election and do another whole thing after the election, a man that stands his ground, keeps his word, protects our freedom — that’s who you should vote for.”

Fixer Upper's Chip and Joanna Gaines Live Out Their Faith on Hit Show
While entertaining with their designs, shenanigans and renovation on their hit HGTV show "Fixer Upper," Joanna and Chip Gaines have won over the hearts of viewers.
Joanna and Chip take broken down but potential-rich houses and turn them into showpieces that are helping revitalize whole neighborhoods throughout central Texas.
The couple told the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, "Our family has made a commitment to put Christ first, a lifestyle our parents modeled for us very well. They showed us how to keep our marriage and family centered around God. As for 'Fixer Upper,' we have been surprised at the impact of our faith through the show. We haven't been overtly evangelical, but the rich feedback we have received on family and love all source from our faith. Jesus said the world would know His disciples by their love for one another, and we've glimpsed this in practice and strive for it every day."
The Gaines own Magnolia Homes, a remodeling and design business in Waco, Texas, that they have operated for years. In a video for Baylor University, the college in which both Chip and Joanna met at, Joanna shared her testimony. She revealed that it was not until she trusted God with her dreams that all of this success was able to come about.
Growing up as a biracial (Asian & white) child, proved to be very challenging for the now mother of 4. Joanna said that from an early age it was always her faith in God that gave her hope for the future.
According to multichannel.com "Fixer Upper" shattered multiple ratings records for the network in January, making the show one of the top 15 telecasts in HGTV history.
