Not So Innocent?

I've always had only positive thoughts about Relient K, but that's been somewhat tainted recently. Matt broke up with his fiance, which is sad, but made more tragic by her claims that he cheated on her. We all sin and I don't expect him or other Christian artists to be perfect and I typically don't comment on news like this because I want to focus on how Christians are positively impacting culture. However, his apparent reaction leaves something to be desired; plus the news he dated Katy Perry (!) is worth noting.

Plumb Has Most Popular Dance Song in the Country

Few artists display the versatility and cross-format appeal of Plumb, who rises this week to her first No. 1 on Billboard's Dance Club/Play Songs chart, as "Hang On" lifts to #1.

The singer/songwriter, aka Tiffany Arbuckle Lee, reached No. 3 on the EDM charts with her sole previous entry, "In My Arms," in 2007. The song led Billboard's Hot Dance Airplay chart and crossed over to a No. 10 peak on Adult Contemporary.

"In My Arms" originally appeared on Plumb's 2007 album "Blink," a collection of lullabies written after the birth of her first two children. That song and her first Hot Dance Airplay hit, the No. 5-peaking "Cut" in 2006, were first released as ballads before being remixed to the delight of clubgoers.

While enjoying success at dance and adult formats, Plumb continues to receive support at her home Christian genre. As "Hang On" has scored acceptance in dance circles, "God Shaped Hole" climbed to No. 32 on Christian Songs last month. Both songs appear on her newly-released album, "Beautiful History - A Hits Collection."

Plumb told Billboard that her chart-topping success is rewarding on both a personal and professional level.

"'Hang On' was written about finding hope when you feel hopeless.

"For it to be No. 1 is not just a fantastic feeling, it's incredibly satisfying knowing I gave my fans what they wanted."

'Blind Side' No. 1 at box office

Football drama "The Blind Side" rose to first place at the box office this weekend with $20.4 million.

After settling for second place behind "The Twilight Saga: New Moon" the past two weeks, "Blind Side" showed its legs by dropping only 49 percent and overtaking the vampire phenomenon. "Blind Side," which received mediocre reviews but obtained a rare "A+" rating from CinemaScore moviegoers, has reached a cumulative gross of $129.3 million. It should have no trouble passing "The Proposal's" $164 million total to become Bullock's biggest hit.

The inspiring, based-on-a-true-story film has been gaining fans in the Christian community. Reviewers for Christian publications as well as mega-church pastors have been raving about the Hollywood film, which gives credit to the Christian faith for the good deed performed by the Tuohy family.

With unapologetically Christian characters, “The Blind Side” stars popular actress Sandra Bullock as Leigh Ann Tuohy
