Chynna Phillips Voted off Dancing with The Stars

Chynna Phillips was voted off "Dancing With the Stars" on Tuesday night, and Phillips says she would not call the show a dancing competition.

"It's supposed to be a dance competition, but it's actually a popularity contest, which makes me kind of sad.  You know, you have to have a little bit of faith that there are people out there who are truly voting for their favorite dance, not their favorite person, because it is a dance competition and people are working really hard."

Her partner, Tony Dovolani, agreed. "I've been on the show for 12 seasons, and Chynna has been a breath of fresh air for me. As much pull we have as teachers, in the end, it's all about the celebrity."

Actress and singer Chynna Phillips has proven to also be a skilled dancer on “Dancing with the Stars” as she has openly expressed her faith live on air.

Appearing on season 13 of “Dancing with the Stars” Phillips has impressed the judges with her graceful dancing as well as positive attitude. Frequently mentioning her Christian faith and love for Jesus on the show, Phillips also took to her Twitter account ahead of her third performance on “Dancing with the Stars” Sunday to thank fans as well as Jesus.

He's got a lot of integrity, and a lot of values and you can tell that he lives his life in such a way that he does not compromise himself in any way, shape or form. So he's been a really great role model for me in terms of keeping boundaries and really walking the walk. He's super hard on me, and when I say hard, I mean that he just has super-high expectations of me because he knows I can do it. Sometimes his expectations of me are higher than my own expectations of myself, so he pushes me outside of my comfort zone. But I love that. At the end of the dance lesson, which is usually about four to four and a half hours, I literally feel like I would benefit from an IV and a stretcher, to be quite honest. But I know that he's pushed me beyond my limitations and so I know I've given it 100 per cent. So he makes me feel proud.

Chynna Phillips enters rehab

Chynna Phillips of Wilson Phillips-fame and more recently of Chynna Vaughn, checked herself into rehab for anxiety over the weekend, her manager, Lizzie Grubman, told PEOPLE magazine.

"After much thoughtful deliberation Chynna Phillips has checked herself into an undisclosed treatment facility for anxiety," Grubman said in a statement. "With the full support of her family and friends, she is looking forward to her recovery. We ask that people respect her and her family's privacy at this time."

Phillips, 42, is married to "Gossip Girl" star Billy Baldwin, and they have three children.

She came forward on "The Oprah Winfrey Show" to support her half-sister, Mackenzie, who made headlines with her revelations about their father, "Papa" John Phillips.

"I pray that we all get closer through this crisis," Chynna said at the time. "With prayer, anything is possible. But I would be lying to you if I didn't tell you that there are going to be some huge obstacles in front of us."

Mackenzie’s bombshell revelations were difficult for Phillips to handle, says a source close to Phillips. But she checked into rehab for a number of reasons, not just her half-sister’s allegations about their father. “It’s a combination of things,” says the source. “She hasn’t been the same since the summer.”

Another source says Phillips is in rehab to deal with stresses in her life “and not drugs or alcohol. Not at all.”

In September, the day before Mackenzie made her explosive claims, Chynna released her first album in years, "One Reason," with Vaughn Penn.

Wilson Phillips Star Returns Amidst Family Crisis

Chynna Phillips, who found fame as part of the pop trio Wilson Phillips, is back with a Christian pop album. She teamed up with singer songwriter Vaughn Penn and for their release, One Reason, hit stores on the 22nd.

The very next day, Chynna Phillips' half sister Mackenzie Phillps released her memoir, "High On Arrival," in which she revealed that she'd had an on-again-off-again 'consensual relationship' with her father John Phillips, of the 60s folk group The Mama and the Papas.

Chynna Phillips is married to actor Billy Baldwin, whom she described to People Magazine as "an evolving Christian." Phillips became a Christian as a teen, but rediscovered her faith years later.

Vaughn Penn, the other half of the new duo, committed her music career to God during a life-threatening medical condition four years ago, and began to write songs to specifically encourage others to develop a relationship with Christ.

Chynna Phillips comes with a great musical pedigree. Besides her famous musical parents (The Mamas & the Papas), in the '90s she teamed with sisters Carnie & Wendy Wilson (daughters of Beach Boys legend Brian Wilson) to form Wilson Phillips. Their first album produced three #1 singles and sales of over 10 million.

Chynna briefly pursued a solo career and got married to Billy Baldwin, all the while searching for true fulfillment. She began to notice the changes in her brother-in-law Stephen Baldwin. When he told her that he had given his life to Christ, she laughed.
“I had a deluded image of what it meant to be a Christian,” she says. “I thought you had to be perfect, and it’s the exact opposite.” she shares.

Though first skeptical of the positive changes in Stephen and his wife Kennya, she began to inquire about their new relationship with Jesus Christ. She committed her life to Christ in 2003.

Now she's forming a new Christian duo Chynna & Vaughn, with Vaughn Penn and even presented at this year's Dove Awards.
