Mat Kearney's fifth studio album debuted in the Top 20 on Billboard's Top 200 and took the No. 2 spot on Billboard's Christian Chart.
In conjunction with the release, Mat's recently performed his current single "Billion" on the Today show.
Just Kids is the follow up album to his 2011's Young Love record that debuted at #1 on the Billboard Digital Chart and #4 on the Billboard Top 200 chart. Known for ubiquitous anthems such as "Nothing Left to Lose", "Hey Mama", and "Ships in the Night", with over a million albums sold, his music has been featured in countless television shows and films ranging from Soul Surfer and Parenthood to The Closer, NCIS, 30 Rock, and Vampire Diaries. His 2006 major label debut Nothing Left to Lose has sold over 450,000 copies, while 2009's City of Black & White hit #13 on the Billboard Top 200. In between it all, he supported everybody from John Mayer to Keane on the road.

NCIS and Hannah Montana Stars Talk New Film Hoovey
Biblical references were temporarily edited out of “Soul Surfer,” a movie based on shark attack survivor Bethany Hamilton, in an effort not to alienate non-Christians. “Soul Surfer” director Sean McNamara's latest film “Hoovey” will not have that issue.
The production company “has supported my vision for everything including Bible references, because they’re appropriate. The Elliott family is Christian, and so they are in the film,” he told Fox News. “’Hoovey’ is a natural story of a family that can only be told through the 'faith lens'.”
Like "Soul Surfer," “Hoovey” is based on a true story and tells the tale of a promising high school basketball player Eric “Hoovey” Elliott, who collapses on the court from a life-threatening brain tumor. Hoovey survives high-risk surgery, and is forced to re-learn the fundamentals of life from walking and reading, to even seeing clearly. And as his mother and father teeter on the brink of falling apart amid medical bills and stress, the entire family must rely on faith, tenacity and love to get through their darkest days.
“I fell in love while reading the book (written by Hoovey’s father Jeff Elliott) that first night. It’s a story of adversity and challenges resolved through the perseverance and faith,” McNamara said. “It can be summed up with this line: ‘Faith makes it real.’”
According to the film's star, there is plenty to be gleaned from believers and non-believers alike.
“It confirms that love and trust are the greatest gifts on earth,” said former “Hannah Montana” star Cody Linley, who plays the title role of Hoovey. “If you are willing to work as a team, then problems turn into an opportunity for all to grow and live better. Everyone has questioned their own purpose in life, and when we deal with near-death experiences it allows us to see ourselves more deeply.”
Fellow 'Hoovey' star Lauren Holly said she's honored to be part of a film that has a positive message.
“All of us know the power of family; we all know how to root for good against evil. We feel good when there is a happy ending, especially when the story is true. It gives us all hope,” she said. “And for me personally, I am proud to be in a film that I want my whole family to see, one that all of us would enjoy.”

Cote de Pablo Stars in Latest from Makers of the Bible Miniseries
Cote de Pablo is coming back to CBS.
The actress, whose departure last season from NCIS angered many fans, will be back on CBS in The Dovekeepers (March 31 and April 1).
"I have been blessed," she told writers at the Television Critics Association winter press tour. "This incredible, epic story came my way. Spending time with family is very important to me and how can I tell stories if not infused" by life and family experiences.
The four-hour miniseries, produced by Mark Burnett and Roma Downey and based on Alice Hoffman's best-selling novel, is based on events surrounding the siege of Masada roughly 2,000 years ago. After the fall of Jerusalem to the Romans, about 900 Jews went to the hilltop retreat of Masada for safety, only to find the Roman Army in pursuit.
Downey, who starred on CBS in Touched By an Angel, says she was moved by a trip to Masada a few years ago.
"I was so profoundly touched by a story of persecuted people ... who stood up for what they believed in, where courage and love were greater than fear and faith and love greater than hate," she said.
Downey added that Dovekeepers takes "the seed of the (true) narrative and built a story around it. It has the grounding of a historic story," relating events from the perspective of "amazing, courageous and powerful women."
Dovekeepers, shot in Malta, features de Pablo, Rachel Brosnahan and Kathryn Prescott in the dovekeeper roles. Sam Neill plays Jewish scholar and historian Josephus and Diego Boneta portrays a warrior in the Jewish army.

'NCIS' Star Pauley Perrette Records Song With Navy Veteran
"NCIS" star Pauley Perrette met a new music partner on the show's set, but it took a church visit for the pair to see their potential.
The result is "Fire in Your Eyes," an R&B-pop duet with Perrette and B. Taylor, a Navy veteran with a fledgling recording career. The single is set for iTunes release May 3.
Perrette and Taylor were introduced when he paid a visit to CBS' legal drama about Naval investigators, invited by a friend who's an adviser to the series.
The two hit it off and she invited him to attend her church, Hollywood United Methodist. Their time together inspired Taylor to write "Fire in Your Eyes." A music video is planned.
"We were just hanging out afterward at church, playing piano and messing together," Perrette said. That was enough to inspire Taylor to write "Fire in Your Eyes."
"She was just so charismatic and had great spirit," he said. "I wrote the song and Pauley put the magic to it."
