Tori Kelly Praises Justin Bieber for Proclaiming Jesus in Hollywood
During a recent interview, Bieber said, "I just wanna honestly live like Jesus," and his bold statement garnered mixed reaction from fans. Tori Kelly, who shares the same manager as Bieber, applauded him for not shying away from his faith despite the pressures that often accompany fame.
"I think it's awesome the things that he said and the fact he's being so open and willing to step out and be bold and not hide what he believes in," Kelly told Digital Spy.
"I think that's really cool. He's already inspired so many people, but that just takes it to another level, so it's exciting that we're able to be open about stuff like that."
Like 21-year-old Bieber, Kelly, 22, rose to stardom as a teen after being discovered by talent manager Scooter Braun on Youtube. At age 16 she auditioned for Season 9 of American Idol and years later signed to Capitol Records before releasing her chart-topping debut album Unbreakable Smile this year.
While she is a secular artist, the "Should've Been Us" singer has always been open about her Christian faith and notes Bible verse Psalm 91:4 on her Twitter bio as one of her favorite Scriptures. She once tweeted that Jesus is "first in my life."
Kelly is a big CCM music fan and counts Crystal Lewis as one of her music idols.

Band Releases Innovative 360 degree Music Video
Bread of Stone is creating lots of buzz by releasing a music video in 360 format. The groundbreaking video was created in support of their current single, "Not Alone." In the video, Bread of Stone can be seen sailing on crystal clear lakes, singing beside picturesque mountain vistas and climbing over stunning rock formations. As they sing "you are the stars above me" or "you are the sea below" viewers can actually pan to the sky or water.
YouTube only began supporting 360-degree video earlier this year. The technology allows the viewer to look in any direction, effectively controlling the perspective or point of view. To get the full effect, 360 videos need to be viewed in Google's Chrome browser or with the YouTube app on iOS or Android devices.

Tracey Edmonds Reveals the Challenges of Producing Reality TV And Programming a Channel
Tracey Edmonds launched a YouTube faith-based channel, AlrightTV, with a lineup of Christian programming on Easter Sunday, and recently revealed that she has no qualms with competition from the rising genre of reality television.
Edmonds is best known as the CEO of Edmonds Entertainment Group, which she formed with her ex-husband and music mogul Kenneth "Babyface" Edmonds. As a film executive, the Alright TV founder has produced well-known movies like "Soul Food" and "Jumping The Broom" with the likes of Bishop T.D. Jakes.
Edmonds spoke with Sister 2 Sister magazine's May 2013 issue about her line of programming competing with the popularity of reality TV shows.
"I'm in a whole different lane. My programming is uplifting and funny and entertaining," Edmonds told Sister 2 Sister. "I don't even have to worry about reality shows. If that's what you're looking for, you know where to find that. If you want to laugh, feel good, be uplifted and feel positive about life, then you tune in to AlrightTV."
Still, Edmonds noted that reality television stars often have to deal with pressures to remain relevant in the genre.
"..The sad thing is that when you sign on to do a reality show, you've got to make some noise in order to keep your role on there," Edmonds told Sister 2 Sister.
Earlier this year, Edmonds described her vision for Alright TV in an interview with The Christian Post.
"Alright TV will serve as a safe haven to entertain families of all ethnicities and economic backgrounds," Edmonds told CP. "Programming will center around comedy, relationships and other topics that will make people feel good and laugh about life."
For the film executive, producing content with Christian themes was an important factor driving her to create the channel.
"I want to produce a value driven channel with positive Christian morals. I remember meeting with Robert Kinsel (the) YouTube executive in which we were discussing the success of YouTube's premium channels," Edmonds told CP. "He asked if I thought something was missing and I pitched him 'Alright TV' right there. My idea did not have a name but I knew that a platform to inspire and encourage people to live a higher purpose is what was needed."

Downhere is Somebody to Love
Legendary rock band Queen is celebrating 40 years of music by launching a North American tour and hosting a Youtube contest to pick musicians for it. Marc Martel of Downhere uploaded his rendition of “Somebody To Love” and quickly gathered more than 2 million views in its first three days online.
Shaun Groves notes in a great blog entry that fans are raving as are outlets such as The Wallstreet Journal and Entertainment Weekly.
Of more significance, he makes an interesting observation:
The Christian music industry and fans have a history of jumping on the bandwagon of veteran Christian artists only after the general market confirms their talents first. Mercy Me couldn’t get played on Christian radio until a mainstream station spun I Can Only Imagine and the song was added at general market stations nationwide. POD? Played side stages at Christian music festivals until they broke through to the mainstream via MTV. Switchfoot was never a staple on Christian radio until, again, the mainstream vaulted them up the charts first. Sixpence None The Richer sang about kissing at twilight on every movie and television soundtrack out there and, well, only then did the Christian music gatekeepers pull out their keys.Read the entire blog here.
